Forbidden! Poem by Bolami lawal

Forbidden!

A lonely night
Nurtured the destiny of a union
One with an unusual ambience
You can hardly fathom,
For them; it was an
'Euphorian island'
A secret solace,
Safe and secured.
The night was engraving; and
Their words were spoken in silence
The plate of desire
Was garnished with sin
Yet; the bond they shared
Was as strong as the wind.
Somewhere in her mind,
She had wish to control the tide
Of his pleasures; but
Rather she sags deep
Into the bliss of his warmth
And together they escaped
Into eternity.
Surely;
This moment will pass,
But these memories
Will hold,
And if tomorrow
In judgment they stand;
It will be a true account
Of a passion once forbidden!

an engaging account of what seems like a personal solace, however forbidden. Beautiful piece.
