Forest In The Sky - Poem by Cynthia L. Lowry

There is a forest in the sky
Looking into the blue green - evergreen sanctuary --
Ponderosa pines outstretch their strong arms
Oak trees stand tall like sentinels
Guarding the wild vastness
A fern blanket covers terra
Tiny white and yellow flowers dot the quilt
Chirping blue jays praise the day
Squirrels gather in acorns
Hummingbirds flutter about in precise darts of motion
Streams of white light weave in and out
Slowly transforming every inch of sacred space
Soaked in incandescent lightness --
Its profound majesty is revealed
A serene presence instills peace --
