Forest Of Life Poem by Mina Ekladious

Forest Of Life

A Trip to the life's forest, raindrops on leaves a sign of glee, or are they tears?
When hopes are concealed by the fears of trees,
And dreams are conquered by the anger of life's unease
Like in a ceaseless fight I behold fears, yet melancholy I walk beneath trees
Hopelessly seeking life in the darkness beneath the breeze, as a lost soul walks through the valley of death not able to face its wild wind, no sign of peace, yon is naught for my soul to defend.
I Look! behold the boughs tremble,
Is the fate of all trees like mine or is it humble!
Fighting to live, simply seeking life
Will these trees dance someday! Am I dreaming? I hope to feel my heart leaping up in glee.
Suddenly, while I'm drowning in my unfading hopes, O nightingale plays its strain
Oh so beautiful!
Ray of light passes amongst the leaves, it hardly could be seen
Still, my heart is certain I'm not left alone,
Oh amazingly! unexpected light's overwhelming the darkness of the night.
The humble lay of the hopping birds above trees is touching my heart
Doves flying above trees bearing my joyful hopes
Spreading their song of life again
Oh, look there! The boughs are hugging, what a splendorous life! Glee is my eternal borderline, surrounding its spirit, not feeling anymore on my feet...
