Forever Flowers Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Forever Flowers

All days vanished
one by one
in to far away dark.
But every day remained
bright and fragrant.
The flowers in pot
would smile forever
in the sun,
eternally fresh.
He changed, as days passed.
But not the flowers.
Now, he couldn't remember
the far away gone moment...
She was there smiling
at him with flowers in hand.
She placed them in pot
at window and paused at
door-frame to bid good-bye.
Then for some days he would
feel the foot steps
for nothing.
Flowers, forever fragrant
always smile at him.
Every morning he would wipe
his glasses to meet
the smiling
forever flowers
