You and I are so different, we don't think or act the same,
And yet theres a bond between us, that I cannot explain.

Though recent times have shown that for now we are just friends,
I know these feelings inside of me are more than just pretense.

You helped me then and I've helped you now, its funny that we found.
That sharing of our painful times has helped us to rebound.

So much is changing in both of our lives its difficult to say,
Where the paths of time will lead us to tomorrow and today.

For sure I know where ever that is that you and I will find.
Our lives are linked together, however long the time.
