Forget My Name Poem by Fateme Farhadi

Forget My Name

I have got distracted

I've lost my way home,

The sparrow that was in my heart,

and your name...

I've got distracted

Every few minutes

I get lost in the middle of war news

And I forget my name.

Children play with paper rockets

And something explodes in my heart

Every few minutes

A woman is auctioned in the middle of Mosul

A woman in Kabul is stoned

And I flush my amnesia pills down the toilet

Every few minutes

I forget where am I? !
