Forgetting The Memory Of You Poem by Kendal Miller

Forgetting The Memory Of You

I dare to be different, but end up being the same.
I lost sight of the shore to find new oceans, but I drift back to land.
I change my thoughts to make a better world, but yet I feel catpured by the past.
I change my words to practice leadership, but I am stuck on the same page.
I changed my insaity dreams, but I can't erase the thought of them.

I look at you to change my feelings, but yet I can't tell myself your gone.
I try to forget your smile, but it still shows up in my memory.
I try to forget about your hair, but I still can feel the softness against my skin.
I try to move forward, but you pull me back.
Your presence won't leave me alone.
My pain cannot disappear like your sould did
I try to let go, but I'm scared I'll fall.

I try to forget the memories we had, but I think about them constantly.
I try to forget our conversations, but I remember every word.
I try to forget your laugh, but it haunts me.
Time cannot forget a past such as ours.
My dear, I love so and will continue to, even through the pain, for my remaining time.
