Forgetting Your Face Poem by Samuel Richard Leonard

Forgetting Your Face

Rating: 3.5

Well that's fine for me
but I guess it's got to be
because you're leaving either way.

It's a bit too much for me
I'll try not to let you see
does it even matter what I say.

I'll be smiling when you leave,
crying inside desperately
trying to forget your name.

Trying to make a stranger's face
take your place
where love ought to be.
