Forgive Me Poem by Jessica Foster

Forgive Me

Can you hear my cries?
Why aren’t you here to dry my eyes?
Did you cut all the ties?
Is this how a love dies?

Well, I never wanted this.
I only wanted bliss.
All I can think of is what I’ll miss.
What did I do to deserve this?

-I’m down on my knees, -
-Can you hear my pleas? -
-I need to know you forgive me, -
-Before my soul leaves.-
-Please, please; forgive me.-

I’m collecting’ my tears.
I’m holding onto my fears.
I still can’t believe my ears.
I can’t face my peers.

-Chorus-

Now you won’t let me near,
but my apology was sincere.
I love you dear.
I promise this is my very last tear…

-Chorus-

~This wasn’t supposed to happen,
~ I never meant to send you packing
~I messed up honey,
~Please give me another chance…

Please, please forgive me.
