In hindsight, I should have given you time
But I was so blinded by my own feelings
That I did not take into account yours
I knew about her,
How she had broken off your engagement
And I had felt sorry
But I did not think that you would need time to move on
So I rushed my confession
Pressed my feelings on you
Without stopping to think
I was hurt by your rejection
But I see now how you must have felt
Forgive me, I am inconsiderate, callous and rude
