Forgive Me, Lord Poem by Wolkine Stany

Forgive Me, Lord

If I was perfect I wouldn't need Him
Nor would I ever sin or suffer within
Lord I accept to suffer
The praise from my lips I offer
I want to be more than a talker
Be my light as these days become darker
Quench my thirst with your everlasting water
I call you Lord, King, and Father
Call me your servant, son, your follower
I've let you down quite a few
I've sinned and disappointed you
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth
Lord if I shall be punished let me be forgiven too
I know the things I do
They aren't nothing new
Things I've repented about
Things that could completely take me out
Lord even though I've done you wrong
I am still here
Touch my heart and speak to my ears
So that I may recognize you when you're near
It is four o clock in the morning
Yet I am still up mourning.......
