** Forgot How To Breathe Poem by Anjali Gupta

** Forgot How To Breathe

And a dark night,
And a silent ride,
My shadow being my only passenger,
Im struggling to be alive,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

The whole of my life,
Is spread out before my eyes,
The decisions i made,
The opportunities I let pass by,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

Standing at the crossroads,
Not sure which way to go,
If only I had some clarity,
And somebody who would hold,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

Trying to control the feeling,
'Em feelings are wild horses,
Im trying to do the impossible,
Im trying to catch the fleeting chances,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

The walls are all closing in,
Am i keeping people out,
Or Im fencing myself in,
I feel suffocating,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

Im looking at the hand,
That had held me lovingly,
Or Im craving for the person,
Who is yet to meet me,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Forgot how to breathe.

The world passes by me,
And I look at it dearly,
Im searching for the person,
Whom I left back in my journey,
And I, for the first time in my life,
Im missing me.
