Forgotten Poem by Christy burke

Forgotten

You know those days,
those days you have family over
And you show them your neighbor?

You realize you made a mistake,
they at just alike
And you want to kill yourself.

Then she comes over,
to spend the night
And your friend comes over?

We three laugh and it's cool,
then she asks that question
If she can spend the night with us?

You think oh cool this'll be awesome,
but in reality it's not...at all
You know you'll be forgotten.

Five minutes and it kicks in,
you say you're going to take a shower
Did they hear you?

As you stand there helpless,
you begin to cry
You feel so alone.

After you're done you go back,
to see what
Them laughing and talking about others.

They don't even know you're there,
so you sit for a few minutes,
Just listening to the gossip.

You give up, it's no hope,
you're nothing to them
never have been.

You're forgotten,
as usual you're an outcast
Not fitting in right.

You write all your feelings,
your pencil is your only friend
It knows you better than anyone.

Your paper is your diary,
a person who listens to everything
It never leaves your side, it's always there.

People come, and people go,
they act your friends but when it comes to it
They don't care what happens.

You know you'll always going to be alone,
nobody's going to notice you're gone
You've always been forgotten.

It's your life,
you don't belong
And you never will.

That day you know,
that you're forgotten
Everything falls apart.

Because that's what you get,
not being popular because you're not good enough
You are forgotten.

You are forgotten,
you always have been
And you always will be.
