Forlornly Poem by Greg Allum

Forlornly

Rating: 4.0

In the stillness of time
my heart beats rhythms
full of desire and longing
through it's boned birdcage
it sings tiny serenades

In the darkest of nights
This heavy aorta calls out
my pulse is autumnal rain
crashing down
on a lover's lament
