fountains and
small dogs
watching
watching
in to the
night
in the main square
of small town
silence only lurks
hooded and
frozen
the trees with a little
wind yet move not
stay
erect as sentinels
for the ceremonies of night
in the small town.

of satyr, nymph, goblin,
the rest
and a small faun.
