Four Walls Poem by Mitchell Rossa

Four Walls

Rating: 5.0

Four walls that bind me
Closing in, moment by moment
Shadows blurring my vision
Mist over my eyes

Feeling like I have been fooled
Anger rising
Ready to be called upon
Everything is going to be alright

A constant flow of creativity
Energy so brilliant
Walls fading
I can almost see the light

When chains begin to bind me to the ground
Fear begins to hold me back
Stronger than ever
Yet there is no hope

Alone on the horizon
No one left to hold me back
Nevertheless the walls fall in around me
Four walls that bind me
