Fractions Poem by Margo Elie

Fractions

I was never good at Math,
but I always love in fractions.
Giving half of my heart today,
one-fourth the next,
dwindling to three fourths,
then back to half again.
I was never good at Math,
but when I love, I love in fractions:
Never giving my heart in whole,
Just a partial piece of my cautious soul.
