Silenced and beaten
Torn and forgotten
What did I do to deserve pain instead of love?
If I showed you my crimson tears
Would you collect them like rain?
And store them as your plain memory
All their armies and their soldiers
Stood before my body
Holding a spotty gun
In his eyes, I saw shadows lurking
In his smile, I saw a hollow sinister
And I wondered and only wondered
Why life is never fair?
Will I be able to touch the sky?
And I wish and only wished
That truth had a tongue
In my eyes stood
Residue of water
Seldom a sign of terror
Have we not created monsters amongst ourselves?
For I stand until I smell fragrance of freedom
