Free As A Bird Poem by Mary Champion

Free As A Bird

One day I shall fly like a bird -
soaring on wings of white llight.
With effortless ease
I will glide as I please.
One day, my soul will take flight.

Surfing the unbroken wave -
in slow-mo or fast as a thought-
with my wide wings unfurled
I'll explore brave new worlds.
When our perfect creation is wrought.

One day I'll be free as a bird,
unshackled by duty or guilt.
We cannot go wrong
when we're where we belong-
in the home our divine hands have built.

One day I will fit in my place
with true kindred spirits, I'll dwell
in a world that is fair,
no injustice to bear
and all of our triumphs to tell.

One day we shall fly, if we wish,
and achieve all that we dare to dream.
We, the fruits of her mind,
no more fearful or blind,
borne forever on life's endless stream.
