Free Flying Poem by Carys Skye

Free Flying

I thought perhaps you’d catch me
Whenever a time would come when I would fall.
But the problem is that I didn’t fall,
I flew, and you, you who said you’d catch me
Weren’t even there at all.
But little did that stop me,
Because when I saw that you were gone,
I flew, and I, the one who thought would always rely on you
Flew away into the great big blue.
