Freedom - Poem by P.W. Safiyah

Freedom... what's freedom? ?
Open your wings and start to fly...
Open your arms and touch the sky...
Close your eyes and feel the wind
Whip across your face...
Let those fingers go through your hair...
And give life to each of those strands...
Fly across the moors...
Watch the hawks dive through...
See the hare dodge the predators...
Try to fly over the ocean...
Dive down with folded wings...
Cz you couldn't resist the temptation...
In the deep dark blue water...
Go the deepest you can...
Then break through the surface...
keeping yourself steady with
Those shimmering wet wings...
Graze over the water and
watch those playful dolphins...
Before they get preyed on by sharks...
Look at the giant blue whale
Sunning himself while having a bath...
Turn your back, and look up
At the shining bright sun...
With a powerful surge of those wings...
Go up high till you reach the clouds...
Playing hide and seek with the big bright star...
Have your choice of staying up here...
Or go hurtling back to the solid ground...
Running along with the deer
Being chased by the terrible bears...
Look ahead to see they are closing in...
But don't care, just jump high...
And fly away
leaving the deer...
leaving all behind...
Cz you can do what you want...
Fly away to where you find what you are looking for...
Freedom... your freedom.
