Freedom's Fear Poem by Rhett Davidson

Freedom's Fear

I wished you'd told me that you love me; although you never did.
I kept looking for some sign of it in emotions that you hid.

I gave you every chance I could if you ever felt the need.
But I knew the hunger that I had was one you'd never feed

and so I set you free, unsure of your return.
