Fresh Eyes (And The Promise Of Calm) Poem by Thomas Hooker

Fresh Eyes (And The Promise Of Calm)

To be alive when you read this,
hopefully you are, you know there's
nobody like you, there's a world
to understand, whatever you think
of love, remember to trust your

passion with fresh eyes...360,
up and down, love knows of
the fountain, the secrets of time,
the secrets of the universe,
there's so many ways to see,

what if everything we ever learned
is wrong, made up, taught to us,
everything lost, would we understand
our world, only instincts left to react,
to observe, to feel, to love, no history, no hate.

Only time can mold you, shape you,
break your fall, wake you to experience,
present in your place, the journey moving
fast, while waiting at the station, the rhythm
of the rail holds the promise of calm.
