Friendly Fire Poem by Morgan Michaels

Friendly Fire

When a culture's true goal becomes money-making
phrases are needed to make it look altruistic
so that service with a mind to profit-taking
seems less what it is, less opportunistic.
But, moving forward, let's put that aside-
just how many visits does your plan provide?
Welcome, welcome, if there's more-
if there isn't, there's the door.
