For A
The creation of friends is seldom seen,
note these stately trees, and you will see why
unprudently sown though they may have been
they now boldly stand, blocking out the sky
their elegant grace is easy to tell
but there is more beauty here to be found
for under the surface, deep as a well
their roots are as one all throughout the ground
and thus it is so that from year to year,
though gales may come with a ravaging breath
that these two friends will forever be here
for their foundation is one of great depth.
Likewise are we, my most dear of friends
our silent roots deep, will be till the end.
