I once had friends
Who knew me
I once had friends
Who didn't see through me
We chose to be half blind
That's the way friends should be
Drugged and with half a mind
No one solves our mystery
Now they see with open eyes
What they didn't want to see
Now that my truth's out
They chose simple brevity
Before I had friends
Whom I gave what they said they need
It seems time makes of them
Like species a new breed
So, goodbye friends
Do we sign a contract, write a deed?
This is me signing off
This is me still holding your creed.
