From Illness To Wellness Poem by Shane Dickie

The word illness begins with a letter i,
The word wellness starts with a letter we,
Since illness is rooted in our isolation
From each other, than the separation
Must be corrected by the integration
Of the we, for to dissolve the I in illness
It is to take up the We in wellness.
The embracement but others who are
Our fellows and God, can put us
On a path toward completeness.
In the fellowship of others, in the We,
We can bridge the gap which the i
In Illness seeks to conquer.
Let as boldly take the I out of Illness and
With fellowship and joy, replace it with
The Godliness of the We,
And let the We spring forth a well,
Which will water the i of our thirst
And eternally bring us into the We.
