From Rachmaninov's Diary (As He Wrote His Piano Concertos) Poem by Meng Lim Dr

From Rachmaninov's Diary (As He Wrote His Piano Concertos)

, .. and I'm enamoured of deep sorrow
and from its home I will not part
I dread the unknown tomorrow
it might again break my heart

but beauty bids me to rest
in her tender breast-I'll press hard
those who suffer will somehow be blest
love will endow me with life's greatest living art
