From The First Site Poem by Trevor Lansink

From The First Site

Sudden feelings in my heart,
Banished by you,
They were torn apart.

Passing by me in the hall,
You notice nothing,
Nothing at all.

But wait, what’s that I saw,
It’s a blush, a breakthrough,
A flaw.

You’re afraid of love,
That’s it, that’s all.

Why didn’t you tell me,
You never let me know.

Your love for me,
That you were afraid to show.

From there on to,
The day you became true.

That it is your love,
And you have the right to let it out.

We’ve been together for awhile now,
But yet we look back.

To that day we found love.
