From These Eyes Poem by Fred Mays

From These Eyes

From these eyes when I was born,
Of all the wonderful things I would see,
To see the world of so many colors,
And to vision so much of it's beauty,

To see the a world through young eyes,
And lacking the knowlege to understand,
And being kept from the worlds ugliness,
And all the evil that was at hand,

To be a part in life's landscape,
And to see all of life unfold,
My eyes feel upon your beauty,
So vast and wonderious to behold,

My eyes have seen you smile,
They have seen you when you cry,
Your beauty will be the last thing I see,
When it my eye's time to die,

But the eyes of my soul will always remeber,
Of the wonderious things they were to see,
Of all your love and tenderness,
That made my life so very happy.
