Frozen Expressions
Solid bodies, empty faces
Blank words lost to the night sky
Buried in a blanket of darkness
Woken to the cold winter air
Crippled to a withered rose
Sucked into the wasted sand of a desert
Stuck in the confines of regret
Words lost to a storm
Washed away by the raging sea
Yet lingering in the blackness my mind
Mortifying my mortal soul
