Fury In The Night Poem by Tracy Rollings

Fury In The Night

The fury in the night
anger was in my mind
pain filled my heart
no help could I find.

Sitting here all alone
what should I do
thinking to myself
they don't love you.

Cramps in my stomach
knots on my head
back full of welts
can't lay in bed.

Although I may suffer
know to stay quiet
they will get me
deep in the night.

You least expect it
they come in the dark
Neighbors know when
dogs start to bark.

Cries into the night
screaming help out loud
hoping for some Justice
but he stood proud.

Knowing in his heart
would never get away
started praying to God
let him die today.

Sleep in the cold
stand in the rain
his poor little body
couldn't take the pain.
