Future Poem by Noah Cook

Future

I hear knocking and someone saying my name
My eyes slowly open and they say ‘Noah get up! '
I sit up and sigh
I get ready for school
When I walk in I just want to walk back out
I go to someone and they ask
Why are you throwing your life away
I don't respond and just leave
I think that's a funny question but an easy one
Who would care about a future that they don't want?
A future that they know will fail?
A future they don't want anything to do with?
The future I don't see..
