Fuzz Fauzee Poem by Ray Tatenda Mutizwa

Fuzz Fauzee

Fauzee she said was her name

Cheese I prefer said she

felt I would be at ease

the future I felt she could foresee

I had seen staring at a bee

believing her to be

deception blinded me

deep in the sea I had to see

unassuming I was to tee

I had to have a fee

lest I was thrown from a lee

the jelly filled my knee

for my age she had asked

was it 'cause of my image

to old for the stage

you ain't fit to be tasked

rage had its grip on me

caution came timely from a sage

saying you have a lot to manage

none can put you in a cage

I recalled the same

it was all in a name

ready was I for the game

not solely for fame

given a chance to be tame

as a lame to strengthen

also days of bliss to lengthen

Then was till then

I had been played folly

when I saw was only jolly

nothing could be holly molly

far away the joy was stolen in a trolley
