Gang Violence - Poem by Rosei Dimitris

24th avenue is where I'm at
the kid running behind me are faster then that
one pulls out a knife
as I head towards the light
I stopped and turned around
I saw the kid on the ground
police steps in
people wondering if he's died
names all over the news
people wondering if it's true
the body covered
parents stutter.
The cycle of gang violence never ends
just make sure your not one of them.
