They partied hard, up to the hilt
inside the garden that they built
but left it eaten up with guilt
and that's the old, old story
The fruit with bite marks evidence
that they had lost their common sense
and perpetrated their offence
Their error, a priori
What was idyllic got destroyed
‘cos girls were girls, and boys were boys
They took what wasn't theirs - bad choice
it turned into their folly
They really got their fingers burnt
and there's a lesson to be learnt
First they were, and then they weren't
They did it for some glory
Love life and live it to the max
but don't forget the cold, hard facts
you have your fun, then pay the tax
and it's the same sad story
You pays your money, drinks your beer
but it'll all end up in tears
if your actions make you disappear
from the eternal inventory
