Gaslamp Abstraction Poem by Pierre Rausch

Gaslamp Abstraction

When you're content
I tried to hit her
It's wrong
And it's even impossible
Was not exactly right
Subtle alterations
Took a cab
And didn't pay
Sometimes I wish to be more like you
So aware
So gentle
Acquired a succession
When she put it away
And she did it well
I listened to her
Like I'd listen to my hands
Independent sport
Does she really say what she means
Are does she only say it with a bad conscience
Slowly turned over
There'd been a knock
She knows what she does
She's absolutely responsible
It gave her courage
