Would you see me the same if you knew
The rhythm the gears of my mind clicked to
If you knew the path my thoughts tread upon
How would you react if I told you
The flurry of visions that haunt my woken mind
If you learned of what I keep behind my mask of
Yes Sir
No Ma'am
Please and Thank you
Smile and nod; never say more than needed
Tell me what you would think if for once you
Heard my unspoken snarls and promises
Knew the cold itch that burns my veins
Understood what I meant behind each of my statements of
I'm fine
I'm perfectly calm
I wouldn't hurt you
If you learned the secrets behind a steel mask
If you knew what I always wanted to say and do
If you could see the thoughts churned out at every given second
If you figured out the rhythm the gears of my mind clicked to
How would you react
Would I be the same to you
Could you carry on like you always have
Or would you change things
Recoil in fear of my touch
Flinch more at my anger
Tremble at my stare
Leave me alone for good
But would you
Would you treat me the same if you knew what tune the gears of my mind turned to
Or would your vision of me change by what runs rampant through my mind
