Gen Man Phenomenal Poem by Mill Field

Gen Man Phenomenal

Phenomenal man,
A man of integrity,
Fears not to say
What ought to be said;
A man of much courage,
Leads into the fray
At the front, from the side,
Take what it may.

Phenomenal man
Shows all generosity,
Open with hand
As he is with his heart;
A staunch friend to have
Through thick and through thin,
And whether you lose
Or whether you win.

Phenomenal man
Has much sensitivity,
A finely tuned being
Responsive to all;
Knows how to pull,
Knows when to push,
Knows the advantage
Of just a light touch.

Phenomenal man,
A man of complexity,
Evokes admiration
From many an entity;
As husband, compatriot,
Son or as dad,
As friend or companion
He makes our hearts glad.

Phenomenal man,
A man for humanity,
Has speckles of granite
In marrow of steel;
You sense him right there
When he comes through a door,
As people turn round
And make way on the floor.

Phenomenal man,
Of brain and of brawn,
Knows when to use one
The other to scorn;
There's a spring to his gait,
There are glints in his eye,
Marks of a man
Who is willing to try.

Phenomenal man,
A man of maturity,
Full-bodies and warm
Yet tangy with youth;
So let's raise our glasses
And give a big cheer
For phenomenal men
The far and the near.
