Generation Gap Poem by welkin siskin

Generation Gap

If they had asked me what would I have done,
would I say would I not carry the weight of the earth and move,
would I not to many directions move,
step on zig-zag roads of life,
Bewildering andlabyrinthine pathways,
Would Ihave done better job, I would say,
And in doing so, I would have accomplished everything undone, going further,
And in doing so, I would have risen to the stars: would accompany my desires and aspiration, hopes and dreams,
But to those uneducated and unlearned ones it was hard to mentor those young teenagers
To opt for what was great,
To opt for what would make the life better.
