Gentle Rain Poem by Marilyn Lott

Gentle Rain

I went for a walk the other day
Spring days are so unpredictable
You never know what will happen
The weather’s like it is in the fall

And on this particular day
There were a few clouds in the sky
But the sun was also peekin’ out
Wasn’t rainin’ but I knew it might try

And then a darker cloud went by
And moisture floated down
There was sweetness in the air
As gentle rain dropped to the ground

Oh how I love the gentle rain
So refreshing I find it to be
Clouds form up in the vast sky
And they gather so creatively

It’s so helpful for the tiny plants
For they need a drink from time to time
Yes, I love a day with gentle rain
It’s the sweetest day I can find!
