Gently Let Me Go Poem by Silence Dogood

Gently Let Me Go

I know the feelings aren't mutual.
But it's so hard to believe.
When we're in a crowded room.
And you only speak to me.

When it's just a tiny moment.
Running through a small town.
An unexpected meeting.
That turns my day around.

And when you give that easy smile.
That makes my heart leap for joy.
I become that small town girl
Falling for the city boy.

And I may be over reacting.
But I think it was love at first sight.
At least it was on my end of the deal.
So who cares if it's not right?

I know I will regret it.
I have too much of you with me.
It will be hard to leave you behind.
But for now will wait and see.

If you break me I will cry.
Tears youll never know.
If you dont want me around.
Than gently let me go.
