While eating the best veggie pizza
Ever
At a little café
In Broadford on Skye
A woman at the next table
Politely asked,
'Where are you from? '
'Portland, Oregon, '
We replied.
To which she said,
'Oh, I'm from Texas.'
The man at the table
In front of us said,
'I'm from San Diego! '
And the woman
Two tables over said,
'I'm from Seattle! '
We came to Scotland
To meet Scots
And all around us -
Americans!
So we turned to the
Waitress and asked,
'What part of Scotland
Are you from? '
'I'm from New Zealand, '
She said
With a smile.
