Getting Away From It All Poem by David Taylor

Getting Away From It All

Rating: 5.0

He laughed out loud
as I placed the suitcases
in the trunk.

What are you doing?

Going on holiday,
you know, get away from it all,
relax on the beach
soak up the sun
with a cold beer,
find peace and tranquillity.....
well you know;
a holiday.

So why are you taking
everything with you?
He asked smiling.
