Ghost Words Poem by Kirstyanne SharkeyDaly

Ghost Words

A whisper in the wind,
A breath of air no longer there,
Someone in limbo.
Can words seep through
To the living, waking world?

Do we need a connection?
Family, friendship, love?
A heart breaks while another aches,
Life ends but love endures
A loved ones presence still remains.

A dream, a vision, a link.
A way to communicate
Between the two planes
Those of life and death
Those of past love

A word said by a stranger,
A reminder of a loved one gone.
A favourite item, book or film,
A song that reduces us to tears.
A whisper in the wind.
