Ghostships Of Feelings Poem by chris schwartz

Ghostships Of Feelings

My life has proved a level of difficulty,
Unknown to others.
Yet, I still find time to smile.
Those who critique me
Tend to seek me
For the sadness in them
Is only normal to me.
Their smile
Is but imagined
In what we all
Strive to achieve.
To have life
Is to hope for better
To have what's beyond
Means we have
Conquered what
Has been laid before us here.
The chill that you
Are feeling now
Is my warmth,
My blanket
The hard work
That has brought me
Here.
Do not cry,
My love,
Do not mourn.
Our time was short,
But everlasting
Your love washed away
My scorn.
The pillow you fixed
Just for me
Kept me safe, and cozy
And warm.
I lay in peace
Free and innocent
Still in your
Loving arms.
