Gift Of A Son Poem by Joseph Walls

Gift Of A Son

We met each other and start to date.
At one time I thought you was my soul mate.
We had our up and downs.
My expression turns to a frown.
We made up so we made love with one another.
Then our problems arises and we lost our forever.
You kicked me out on the street.
So I went back home with nothing to eat.
A few months had past whan I found out you was labor.
I tried to get to you but no one would do me this favor.
A few weeks later you gave birth to a beautiful boy.
It made me happy with joy.
The distance of my son seemed far.
I had no way to get to you, Had no car.
I didn't know your dad would came and got me.
I was blind sided so I could not see.
Now it is 2012 and you seen me on this site.
I do want to do what is right.
I am a single guy.
Don't ask why.
After you my life was a mess.
I became depressed.
Still as of today I have nothing in view.
Coming back to you.
Don't you think at night I weep.
I can not even think about sleep.
Knowing you gave me the gift of a son.
In my book he is number one.
I wish things were like they was before.
But I know they can't, locked is the door.
