This is a loss, it was said.
He’s gone for a reason you know
Its kind of not like he’s dead
It’s just that he had to go
It happened during the day
When it seemed like it was night
And every single thing we would say
Would scatter and go out of sight.
Taken away by the color of the sky
By the sphere of borrowed light
By all the things up high
By everything there, yet out of conscience sight
Walked, sauntered is a better word
Across our own little sea of pleasure
Out of all the things not said, yet heard
To find our meaningless meaningful treasure
All the things we found
No directions written down
At last the dark light so profound
Led to the loss of anything renown
Without a guideline of how to live
We lost a valuable thing from above
Without knowing when to give
We lost the meaningless treasure of love
Without anything left in our hearts
The empty shells soon turned away
Without remembering any other parts
But the minimal span of when they went astray
Slowly, entirely, yet incomplete
Our memories were disregarded
Like an army in undecided retreat
Being all the way home, bombarded
But as long as it doesn’t happen to me anymore
Cause it hurt and it still does
Forgetting all unforgettable lore
“A gift to the darkness” it was.
