Gifts I Have Been Given Poem by Newo Enec

Gifts I Have Been Given

I find myself
Stuck in a place I never wanted to be in
Locked into a feeling I wish I never had
And somehow it sets in that
There is no tomorrow for me
All your lies, all your lies
Smother mouths, cover eyes
Sever tonguesm sew shut eyes
Hold me down with all your lies

I find myself
In a bloody f-ing mess I never dreamed of
In a dilemma I'm afraid of
And somehow I know that
My life was meant to be this way
Give me fear, give me fear
Stop my heart delusion whispers sins into my ear
Slit my wrists, salvation whispers death into my ear
Make me suffer with my fear

What gifts you have brought me
A sense of nothingness
A tolerance for abuse
A strange addiction to my pain
That I will never live without
All your lies, give me fear
Smother mouths, stop my heart
Cover eyes, delusion whispers sins into my ear
Sever tongues, slit my wrists
Sew shut eyes, salvation whispers death into my ear
Hold me down, make me suffer
The gifts of lies and fear
