Girl In The Mirror(Re-Wroked) Poem by Demi Martenez

Girl In The Mirror(Re-Wroked)

Girl in the mirror

As I stare in the mirror
I see a girl
Do I know this girl?
Where'd did she come from, perhaps another world?

I think about this long and hard
All while this girl doesn’t look me in the eye
She looks familiar
When she looks up I see she had been crying
I ask if she is ok
She finally looks me in the eye
and with a sudden burst I fell all her pain
shoot through my body and down my spine.

I dropp to my knees and start to cry.
I look up and see this girl grab a knife.
It takes all my might to stand
When I finally do I see the blade is
about to cut her wrist.

I scream and yell and pound on the glass
till inside me there is nothing left.
She looks me in the eye one last time.
I finally recognize her.

She’s me
The other half of me
The half hidden behind
All the smiles, and lies
Also my big blue eyes.

The girl in the mirror
Takes one last breath
Then cuts so deep
Then lets the blood seep.

She then disappears
I yell one last time.
Then start to cry.
I look down at my wrist
A dropp of blood is all that’s left.

I know its not over, it cant be fate.
I know where she has gone
Back inside me hidden in a depressed state.
As the nightmare longs on.
